walkWestside – the new Westside walkability coalition seeks to make walking safer and easier in the Westside to encourage better health, fresher air, and a vibrant community.

Walking is good for one’s health:
– It benefits your heart, lungs, muscles, weight, and energy
– It reduces obesity and reduces the risk of diabetes.
– It is a safe, low-impact, low-risk exercise for all ages.
– According to 2015 data, the San Antonio adult obesity rate is 35.6% of the population and adult diabetes is 10.6% of the population. #WDC #walkWestside
