For months now our country has been gripped by the COVID-19 crisis, which continues to disproportionately affect communities of color. Congress has taken action, creating new programs and funding opportunities to stimulate our economy and help families stay afloat during the crisis. As we continue to navigate these uncertain waters, many questions remain. What is the outlook for additional public policy efforts to address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic? What resources have already been made available in COVID-19 relief legislation? Will this influx of relief affect Congress’ normal appropriations cycle and funding for community and economic development programs?
Clarinda Landeros, Director of Public Policy at NALCAB will be joined by Manuel Ochoa, a community development professional with extensive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) experience, and local policy implementation expert Sara Lopez to help answer your questions.
